I guess I'm getting paranoid, and I want to decrease my realname recognition on the web. As a teacher, I don't really want parents or students to have such easy access to my thoughts and words. Not that there's anything worthy of worrying about, but, well, you never know....

Obama?

Am I really going to crawl out of my anti-political hiding place and put my vote towards a Democrat of all people?

Am I?

I just might. Not because Obama is a Democrat, that's for sure. I may not trust the Republican party anymore (not for a long time, actually) but I trust the Democrats even less. Then again, these days, what is a Democrat or a Republican. Can you really tell the difference?

The real clincher for Obama, is that he actually sounds like a reasonble human being. AND...he articulates exactly why -- Exactly why I, and tons
'o people like me, have withdrawn into political apathy. And, more importantly, he doesn't sugar coat, or lingo speak, or rant and rave; and he doesn't reek of used-car-salesman or self aggrandizing egomaniac. He sounds like the guy who gets it, and wants to get something real, done.

So, maybe I will step out there and vote for someone, and maybe, probably even, it will be Obama. And this time, after stepping from the polls, I might not feel like it was a complete waste of time.
